Payment of Utility Liens by Trustees and Mortgagees
Senate Bill 1276 (Cox), would require a trustee or mortgagee of a defaulted deed of trust on real property to satisfy any existing judgment liens filed by a public utility prior to the sale of the real property. Although the bill does not mention beneficiaries, that may be addressed in amendments.
