ALTA Launches Initiative to License the Use of ALTA Forms

The American Land Title Association has launched an initiative to license the use of its ALTA policy forms. A license to use the forms will be provided free of charge to all ALTA members. Companies that are not members of the ALTA will be required to pay an annual licensing fee of $195 to issue ALTA policies. ALTA is granting a free membership to all non-members for the remainder of 2009. Additional information, including answers to frequently asked questions, can be found on the ALTA site.
