Revisions to the current property tax postponement program are being proposed for a second straight year by AB 1090 (Blumenfield). The legislation grants super priority status to deferred taxes. The proposal replaces the postponement program suspended in February 2009 for budgetary reasons. The suspended program gave postponed taxes "judgment lien" status. The CLTA joined with the California Escrow Association and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association last year in successfully opposing the legislation.
