CLTA Webinar - Foreclosure: Before and After the Gavel

This is your chance to be educated on the issues surrounding California real property foreclosure. In the 1 ½ hour presentation, industry experts Julie Wagner and Mark Talbot will provide an overview of the California non-judicial foreclosure process, common title issues leading up to and after the trustees sale. The presentation will include:
- SB 1137 / SB 306 compliance
- Declaration of default and demand for sale
- Notice of Default and authorization to publish
- Sale and Postponements
- Learn about the truncated timelines, different documents and reasons title may or may not be insured subsequent
- After the foreclosure, learn about:
- Recording of trustee’s deed
- Instances of redemption rights vested in US and/or borrower
- Lingering issues of 2929.3
- Local government and quasi-government liens (ie. water, sewer, and refuse)
- Building code violation liens
- Abatement liens, and parties in possession and owner association liens
- 1.5 hours MCLE/PD Credit
