Objections to Super-Lien Bill Bring Changes
The CLTA succeeded in convincing the Legislature to amend AB 1090 (Blumenfield) to remove a "super lien" provision in the bill. The lien provision would have created a danger for homebuyers, lenders and title companies in California by permitting years of postponed property taxes to become superior to all other liens. The CLTA and lenders successfully opposed a similar proposal last year.
