Notary Changes Signed by the Governor
Assembly Bill 2326 (Chapter 202) becomes effective on January 1, and expands the current requirement of a fingerprint in the notary journal to any document affecting real property. The new law additionally prohibits a proof of execution by a subscribing witness of any instrument affecting real property.
