Findings Regarding Public Trust Lands Enacted
A new law, Assembly Bill 2620 (Chapter 206), adds several legislative declarations and findings regarding granted public trust lands and confers powers with regard to leasing or granting of rights or privileges of trust lands upon a local trustee (defined by the act) of granted public trust lands previously granted to the State Lands Commission. The act also addresses the segregation of funds derived from trust assets and standardized reporting to the State Lands Commission.
