AB 957 (Galgiani), dubbed the Buyer’s Choice Act, unanimously passed the California State Assembly late last month without any opposition votes. At the request of the Board of Governors, the California Land Title Association has remained neutral on the bill. The legislation is now awaiting assignment to a policy committee in the State Senate. For more information on the Buyer’s Choice Act, which restricts the use of certain classes of required settlement service providers, please see the April edition of the CLTA e-News.
