Marin County is hosting the Northern California PREP Regional Conference on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Marin Health and Wellness Campus Connection Center, San Rafael, California. PREP has assembled an interesting and informative program, focusing on the timely topics of Foreclosures-Real Estate Fraud, e-Recording, and Bulk Record Sales. Please see the tentative agenda for program details. The conference is free and includes a continental breakfast. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. A registration form is available here for your convenience. Also, be sure to read and print the directions/parking permit information.
By participating in a local PREP Chapter, you will have the opportunity to focus on local industry problems and join in finding solutions by networking more effectively with other members of the industry. New technologies and national standards require expanded educational opportunities, which are offered through the local PREP Chapter. Through the local PREP Chapter, you can share information more effectively, mutually consider legislative needs, and by working together, provide the best possible service to the public.
Please plan to attend the PREP meeting on October 26, 2011 and encourage other members of the industry to join you in attending. All sectors are welcome!

Property Records Education Partners (PREP) is a public/private partnership formed for recorders, title companies, real estate brokers and agents, escrow agents, lenders, underwriters, vendors, and other sectors of the real estate industry to improve local relationships by opening and enhancing lines of communication, creating networking channels, and expanding educational opportunities.
By participating in a PREP Chapter, you have the opportunity to discuss industry issues and find solutions to problems at the local level. By networking nationally through the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA), PREP Chapter participants will become better informed about industry issues and enjoy a stronger voice when addressing legislation, electronic recording and standardization concerns.
