Sacramento, CA - Today the California Land Title Association (CLTA) launched an innovative new Web site designed to help California consumers compare prices for title insurance coverage. The Title Wi~urdW eb site was developed in partnership with ClosingCorp, a La Jolla-based information technology company. September 10, 2007 - CLTA Urges Governor to Sign SB 892
Legislation Would Help the Collection of Delinquent Child Support Payments
Sacramento, CA – The California Land Title Association (CLTA) today urged Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to sign Senate Bill 892 by Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro). SB 892 would help the state Department of Child Support Services and local child support agencies automate the filing of real property liens against delinquent child support obligors. SB 892 passed through the Legislature without opposition and has been sent to Governor Schwarzenegger for final approval. Read more »

Bill Would Create Licensing System for Title Insurance Sales Reps
Sacramento, CA – The California Land Title Association (CLTA) announced today that it was sponsoring SB 133 (Aanestad), legislation that would create a statewide licensing system for title insurance sales representatives. SB 133 passed the Assembly Insurance Committee by a vote of 9-0 earlier this week. Read more »
