Recent amendments made to Senate Bill 1090 (Perez) remove language that would have prohibited any person or entity owning 75 or more single family residences from making an unsolicited offer to purchase real property in a wildfire disaster area after a declaration of a state of emergency. The prohibition would have applied for five years. CLTA worked in collaboration with other stakeholders, including the California Association of Realtors, to express concerns with the bill as originally drafted.
