PLACE to Acquire Radian’s Title Services

Radian Group announced it entered into a definitive agreement to sell its title business to PLACE, a real estate technology and services platform.

Terms of the deals were not disclosed. The sale is subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals, and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter.

The title companies owned by Radian include Ohio-based underwriter Radian Title Insurance Inc. and Pennsylvania-based Radian Settlement Services Inc. According to ALTA's market share data, Radian Title generated $17 million in title insurance premiums in 2025.

Radian Group shared plans it intended to sell its title insurance services in an announcement in 2025 about its acquisition of specialty insurer Inigo. This transaction closed in February 2026 for $1.67 billion. In a release, Radian said it decided to sell its title, real estate services and mortgage conduit businesses following a comprehensive strategic review to acquire Inigo. Radian entered the title industry in 2018 when it acquired EnTitle.
