The CLTA has been following the regulatory process as a second round of changes are pending to proposed privacy regulations. The California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) closed its public comment period on June 2 on the modifications to the Agency's proposed regulations. The proposed regulations update the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regulations, including item such as, cybersecurity audits, risk assessments, Automated Decision Making Technology (ADMT), and insurance companies.
The proposed regulations were modified through a unanimous vote during the CPPA's May 1 Board Meeting. The new comment period allowed the public to submit formal comments addressing the changes that were made to the proposed regulations. The full text of the proposed regulations, along with supporting rulemaking documents, are available on CPPA's website. Comments are closed.
