Expanded Remedies under California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018

Consumers would be able to file class actions for a violation of any provision of the California Consumer Privacy Act under Senate Bill 561 (Jackson), rather than just for a specific provision of the act. The bill also deletes the 30-day period in which a business can cure a violation after receiving notice of an alleged violation.
