Silicon Valley startup Propy, with blockchain software, has a new investment from the National Association of Realtors tech investment fund, Second Century Ventures. Propy real estate software aims to automate real estate transactions and allows properties to be bought and sold in an automated digital process that includes the use of cryptocurrency. The Propy website has a Blockchain Title Registry button and the ability to sign up for a demo. According to the Propy website, its “innovative software complies with Recorders’ Office requirements for functionality, security and resilience.”

According to Housing Wire, the NAR investment was made through its REACH Program, which helps new real estate tech companies launch and accelerate.

In 2017 Second Century Ventures announced its investment in the remote notary platform Notarize. The NAR investment followed Notarize’s participation in the REACH Program. At the time Notarize was only one of 13 investments that NAR made through its investment fund.
