Home Listings Falling and List Price Growth Slowing

Listings are falling according to Realtor.com. In the weeks ending March 21 and March 28 respectively, the number of newly-listed properties fell by 13.1% and 34% when compared with the same period a year ago. Sellers seem to be holding off listing their homes in the wake of the coronavirus uncertainty. Listing prices slowed their gains in the second half of March with listing prices up year-over-year 3.3% for the week ending March 21st and 2.5% for the week ending March 28th. The year-over-year listing price increases were the lowest level since that data started being collected in 2013.
